A set of photo-etched parts for a model of the F-15C fighter in 1:48 scale. It completes the kit with thin metal elements that come out too thick in plastic.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-15 Eagle is an American twin-engine fighter built for the air superiority role, which first flew at the beginning of the 1970s and has stayed in service for more than half a century. The F-15C version is the single-seat fighter form: compared with the original variant it was given, among other things, changes to the internal equipment and the ability to carry extra fuel on the sides of the fuselage. In the armory of the US Air Force and of other users it became the main fighter version of the type, and it is among the most frequently built subjects in modern aviation.
This is an accessory set of etched parts in 1:48 scale, meant to be used as the build goes along. Etched sheet makes it possible to produce elements that in plastic are necessarily too thick or cannot be put into the mold at all: thin covers, grilles, eyes, loops and small flat details. The range of parts and the list of kits the set fits are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the parts from the carrier sheet with a sharp blade on a hard surface; do not break them out. Make the bends on the edge of a steel ruler or in a bending tool, always in one movement and along the whole length of the bend. Bond with super glue applied in small drops from a pin. Before painting, wash the sheet, degrease it and give it a primer, otherwise the covering layer will hold poorly on the smooth metal.
The set is for modelers who are ready to work with metal parts and have tweezers, a sharp blade and ideally a bending tool at hand. The aircraft kit, paints, glue and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
