A resin accessory for 1:48 scale from the Wheelliant brand. It is not an airplane model, but a set of replacement wheels for the single-seat F-16C, or F-16CJ, in the later block 50 and 52 form. The tires are weighted — flattened at the contact patch and slightly bulged — with a fine tread and raised hub detail that injection-molded kit parts usually do not reach.
The F-16C/CJ of blocks 50 and 52 represents a modern development stage of the famous light fighter from General Dynamics, later Lockheed Martin. The CJ machines in particular specialized in suppressing enemy air defenses. Telling the blocks apart matters with wheels — different blocks carry a different type of tire and hub, so a set matching the particular version is a guarantee of accuracy.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Mask and spray the hub and the tire separately; matte the rubber down and dust it gently with pigment. Protect your airways while sanding.
This is an accessory to a model, not the model itself. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
