1:48 F-35B is a set of self-adhesive Eduard painting masks in 1:48 scale for a model of the F-35B type. It is not a model but an accessory for painting the glazing and the wheels.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely shaped self-adhesive masks in kabuki tape for a model of the Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II fighter in 1:48 scale. The masks make it easier to spray the frames of the glazed cockpit and the wheel discs cleanly, without laborious cutting. It is not a kit — it is an accessory used while painting a finished or part-built model. Eduard is a Czech maker of modeling accessories.
The Lockheed Martin F-35B is the fifth-generation variant with short takeoff and vertical landing (STOVL) capability thanks to a lift fan behind the cockpit. It is a single-engined multirole fighter with features that reduce its radar signature; the B version is operated among others by the US Marine Corps and by the Royal Navy from the decks of aircraft carriers.
The pre-cut masks in self-adhesive kabuki tape are stuck onto the cockpit glazing and onto the wheel discs, pressed into the engraved lines of the frames with a pointed wooden stick, and then the area is sprayed. Once the paint has dried the tape is lifted off and the framing stays clean and crisp. An airbrush gives an even coat. The masks help with the crisp transitions of modern glazing and a multi-part canopy too.
This is a set of painting masks, not a model. The kit itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package and are obtained separately.
