F/A-18B/D TFace 1:48 is a double-sided die-cut masking set from Eduard for models of the two-seat F/A-18B and F/A-18D Hornet naval fighter.

This masking set is intended for models of the two-seat versions of the F/A-18 Hornet fighter (B and D) in 1:48 scale. The TFace designation means that the set contains masks for both sides of the glazing, that is from the outside and from the inside. Thanks to that you can spray the canopy frames from the inner side as well and leave the inside of the canopy in the interior color. It is not a model but an accessory. The masks are machine-cut from Japanese kabuki tape and fit the shape of the parts precisely.
The F/A-18 Hornet is an American carrier-based multirole fighter. The two-seat F/A-18B and F/A-18D versions serve for training and as fully capable combat machines, with the D also deployed in the night attack role. The large glazing of the two-seat canopy, with its many frames, makes masking demanding, and this set answers that.
Degrease the glazing first. Lay the outer masks on the frames from the outside and the inner ones on the reverse of the canopy. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. Double-sided masking will be appreciated above all by modelers who want to separate the interior shade faithfully from the exterior finish. Remove the masks shortly after the paint has dried.
The accessory does not include a model or paints. It serves only for masking while spraying.
