An injection-molded plastic kit of the two-seat version of the F/A-18D Hornet multirole carrier aircraft in 1:48 scale from Hobby Boss. The package contains gray plastic, clear parts for the canopy and a decal sheet. The model is meant to be assembled and painted.
The F/A-18 Hornet is a single-seat and two-seat twin-engine jet aircraft able to carry out fighter as well as attack duties. The two-seat D version serves for advanced training as well as for combat, where the second crew member operates the sensors and the weapons control. The machine operates from aircraft carriers as well as from land bases.
Use liquid modeling cement on the joints of the plastic parts. Before painting we recommend a primer coat and laying the colors on with an airbrush for even coverage. You will bring out the panel lines with a dark wash, and a matte varnish will unify the surface.
