This is NOT a model of the aircraft but a detail accessory. The set contains turned metal barrels for the 20 mm Hispano cannons in the uncovered build for the Fairey Firefly in 1:48 scale. The metal parts replace the plastic armament and give the model sharp and realistic detail.
The Fairey Firefly was a British two-seat carrier-based fighter and reconnaissance aircraft of the Fleet Air Arm from the Second World War and the postwar era. It carried wing-mounted 20 mm Hispano cannons whose muzzles, in this build, projected from the leading edge without fairings.
Glue the metal barrels with cyanoacrylate into drilled holes in the leading edge of the wing. Deburr the parts and before gluing verify their position against the documentation. Thin uncovered barrels hold their shape better in metal than in plastic.
This is a metal detail accessory, not an aircraft kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
