A detailed resin set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, from the Brassin range, which replaces the cockpit of a model of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190F-8 fighter in 1:48 scale with a faithfully cast resin tub full of detail. This is not an aircraft kit, but a complete cockpit set supplemented with color photo-etched parts and decals, intended for more experienced modelers.
The Fw 190 was among the best German fighters of the Second World War. The F-8 version was the ground-attack modification intended to support ground forces, fitted with armor and with racks for bombs. It was derived from the proven design of the A series. A detailed cockpit adds a great deal of credibility to a model displayed with the canopy open.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The color-printed photo-etched elements, such as the instrument panel and the belts, come pre-painted. Assemble and paint the cockpit before closing up the fuselage, and use respiratory protection when sanding resin.
