Hauler 1:48 German rucksacks and bags - a set of small luggage and equipment for vehicles, figures and dioramas. It is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of small castings from the Czech maker Hauler, meant for equipping models of German Second World War vehicles. It is not a kit and not the parts of one particular vehicle - the luggage and equipment can be used practically anywhere: on the fenders and the hull of a vehicle, in a cargo bed, beside a figure or loose in the terrain of a diorama. It is precisely such small things that turn a model into a scene, because they suggest that somebody is using the machine, and at the same time they break up the uniform expanse of color on the vehicle.
German infantry equipment of the Second World War was built on a few easily recognizable items: the pack carried on the back, canvas and leather bags and pouches for small items. In material terms it was a combination of canvas, leather and metal buckles, which matters for a modeler - each of these materials is painted differently, and it is precisely the difference between them that makes the result believable. Luggage appeared on vehicles routinely, because both crews and carried infantry put their equipment down in any free space outside the machine.
Wash the castings in warm water with detergent, cut the casting blocks off and sand the mating surfaces so that a piece of luggage sits against the whole area; nothing looks worse than a pack that touches the vehicle only with one corner. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). When placing them, use common sense: things get put down where a person can reach and where they do not get in the crew's way - not in the middle of a hatch. In color, separate canvas (yellowish to gray-green), leather (brown tones with more sheen) and metal buckles (dark steel). Then unify the whole with a thin dark wash and run a dry brush lightly over the edges, so that the seams and folds stand out.
The set holds accessory castings only and is supplied unpainted. The model, figures, glue and paints are not included in the package.
