An add-on set of engine exhaust nozzles in the open position for a model of the Grumman F-14D Tomcat in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set replaces the engine exhaust nozzles on a model of the Grumman F-14D Tomcat in 1:48 scale, and that in the open position. The nozzles are among the places everyone notices first on a finished model: they are prominent, you look into them and their inside tends to be only suggested on a kit part. A replacement part brings a finer shape of the petals and a better worked inner wall, so the view inside looks believable even up close.
Before gluing, lay the parts on dry and check how they join the fuselage and the engine nacelles of the particular kit. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder carefully. The parts are not polystyrene, so glue them with superglue; before painting, wash and degrease them, otherwise the paint will not hold. The particular procedure and the recommended kits are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The inside of the nozzles differs in color from the external surface of the aircraft, so it pays to paint the parts separately and fit them only at the end. Apply metallic shades and heat tinting in thin coats and grade them from the mouth inward. In the open position you can see deep inside, so do not underestimate the rear part of the inner wall either.
The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
