FLY 1:48 Grunau Baby IIb RAF is a kit of the classic training glider in the markings of the Royal Air Force.
Responsibility details are not available.
A short-run plastic kit of the widespread Grunau Baby IIb training glider, in 1:48 scale, in a version in the markings of the Royal Air Force. FLY is a Czech maker of short-run models. The package makes it possible to build a static model of this unpowered glider.
The Grunau Baby was a single-seat training glider designed in Germany in the 1930s. Thanks to its durable wooden construction covered in fabric and its forgiving flying qualities, it spread to a number of countries. Surviving and captured machines reached British operators after the war as well, where they served for basic glider training.
Clean up the thin parts and the struts carefully and dry-fit them. Use thin cement for plastic and fine sanding. The large area of the wings benefits from a good primer and an even coat sprayed with an airbrush. Mask the cockpit glazing and paint the interior before closing the fuselage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
