The fabric cockpit seatbelts HGW 1:48 Ilyushin Il-2 replace plastic or decal belts with faithful fabric parts of microtextile with photo-etched fittings.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail set of cockpit seat belts, not a model of the airplane. It replaces flat plastic or decal belts with parts of real microtextile completed by photo-etched buckles. It is intended for models of the Soviet ground-attack aircraft the Ilyushin Il-2 in 1:48 scale.
The Ilyushin Il-2, nicknamed the Shturmovik, was a Soviet ground-attack aircraft of the Second World War and one of the most mass-produced combat machines in history. Its design included an armored bathtub protecting the pilot, the engine and the key systems, thanks to which it withstood fire from ground targets. It carried cannons, machine guns, rockets and bombs and became the backbone of Soviet support for the ground forces. In its cockpit the seat belts were clearly visible.
Choose the shade of the belt, cut the parts out along the marked line with a sharp knife and then shorten them to the length needed. Work the fabric briefly between your fingers so that it takes on natural folds, and thread it through the photo-etched buckles. Glue with PVA glue (white glue) and do not use super glue or any other aggressive glue, which could damage the fabric or the plastic.
This is not a complete model. The set does not contain glue, paints or a kit; it serves as an accessory to a base model.
