Kawasaki T-4 Air Park 20th Anniversary 1:48 — a kit of the Japanese jet trainer in an anniversary coloring from Hasegawa.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the Japanese jet trainer Kawasaki T-4 in 1:48 scale from Hasegawa. This issue carries the anniversary coloring for twenty years of the Air Park exhibition — the museum of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force at Hamamatsu air base. The elegant two-seat aircraft with a striking anniversary scheme is a rewarding subject that breaks out of the ordinary gray of military machines.
The Kawasaki T-4 is a Japanese subsonic trainer for the intermediate phase of pilot training, developed and built entirely in Japan. The two-seat machine with a tandem cockpit layout has served since the end of the 1980s with training units and also as a liaison aircraft for squadrons; the wider public knows it above all thanks to the aerobatic team Blue Impulse, which flies the type to this day. Specially colored T-4s appear regularly at air shows and anniversaries of Japanese bases.
Paint the tandem cockpit and fit it before gluing the fuselage together — the glazing offers a good view inside on a finished model. The anniversary scheme calls for a glossy base under the decals; settle the larger motifs with plenty of water and soften them with a softener. Let the small stencils stand out on a semi-gloss final varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
