This is a resin conversion set, not a complete kit. It lets you rebuild a model of the Soviet Lavochkin La-5 fighter into the two-seat UTI trainer version in 1:48 scale. The package contains cast resin for the reworked canopy and the second seat, small accessories and decals.
The Lavochkin La-5 was a Soviet fighter of the Second World War with a radial engine, which did much to restore the balance in the air on the Eastern Front. The FN version had a boosted engine. The two-seat UTI trainer conversion served to train pilots and differed in the lengthened canopy glazing for the instructor.
Wash the resin parts free of the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand them with respiratory protection; glue with cyanoacrylate glue. It is a good idea to fit the reworked cockpit to the fuselage of the kit carefully. Paint the interior before closing the cockpit.
This is a conversion accessory for advanced modelers. The base kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
