Color three-dimensional elements for the interior of the cabin of a model of the Lockheed P-38J/L Lightning in 1:48 scale. Intended for kits from several manufacturers.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was an American twin-engine fighter with an unmistakable twin-boom construction and a central nacelle for the pilot. It was powered by a pair of Allison V-1710 engines, V12s. The J and L versions were among the late and most numerous guises; the cabin on them is tight and the instrument panel sits directly in the line of sight, so on a finished model it practically cannot be overlooked.
Color three-dimensional elements for the interior of the cabin in 1:48 scale. The elements have a three-dimensional relief and the color already in them, so the laborious coloring in of tiny dials and levers with a brush falls away. The bases are prepared for kits from the brands Academy, Eduard, Hasegawa, Minicraft, Revell and Tamiya.
The elements belong in the model before the halves of the nacelle are glued and the canopy put on; afterwards you cannot get inside. First rid the surface they are to go on of dust and grease and leave it smooth, without unevennesses. Take the element by the edge with tweezers and bring it to its place in one go; moving it across the base will mark the relief.
Before applying, check in the instructions whether the elements are self-adhesive. The application procedure differs between the individual ranges, so follow the manufacturer's instructions.
For modelers who want the cabin of the Lightning readable and colorful without painting the individual instruments.
