A masking set from the QMT brand in 1:48 scale. According to the name it aims, besides the basic FB.11 attack version, at the export versions and at the two-seat T.20 trainer as well. It is an accessory for painting, not a model: self-adhesive die-cut shapes that close off the area of the wheel bays during spraying.
A set that covers several versions of one subject usually relies on their sharing the same wing and the same bays. In practice, though, whose kit you are building also plays a part: the outline of the molding differs between manufacturers and between generations of tooling by tenths of a millimeter, and it is exactly those that decide whether the mask seats or overhangs. So always lay the mask on dry first, on a dry, degreased part, and look at it against the light.
A smaller overhang is easy to deal with: apply the mask and cut the excess away with a fresh blade run along the edge of the plastic, rather than trimming it on a board. If the mask falls short instead, make up the missing strip with ordinary masking tape and press the joint of the two layers down. Plan the removal for the time when the paint has only just set, and work slowly.
The package contains masks only. The model, the paints and the glue are not part of it.
