A combined set from the Czech manufacturer AML in 1:48 scale for the Messerschmitt Bf 109 F-2. The F version, called the Friedrich among pilots, brought an aerodynamically refined airframe with more rounded wingtips and armament concentrated on the fuselage centerline; the F-2 subversion carried a 15 mm cannon in the engine axis. Many consider the Friedrich the finest-flying version of the whole Bf 109 line.
The set joins the better of both techniques: you spray the large elements of the scheme through paint masks, so they will suffer neither from silvering nor from carrier film, and the small markings, for which spraying is impractical, you transfer from the enclosed decal sheet. There is no need to track down two separate accessories, and the two parts of the set are matched to each other.
First spray the camouflage scheme through the masks, then coat the surface with gloss and apply the decals in a drop of water with the help of a decal softener. Once dry, seal everything with a coat of varnish in the sheen you prefer, and only then lay on the weathering, as washes bring out the engraved lines and joints.
A modeling accessory; the set does not contain the aircraft kit, paints or glue.
