An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter in the G-6 version in tropical form with the R3 equipment, in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian maker Unimodel. The package contains plastic parts on sprues, a decal sheet and building instructions.
The Bf 109 G-6 was the most numerous version of this fighter, with a Daimler-Benz DB 605 series engine. The tropical form (Trop) added a dust filter to the supercharger intake, which protected the engine in the dusty conditions of the southern and Mediterranean battlefields. The R3 equipment added a rack under the fuselage for an auxiliary tank and extended the range.
Cut the parts off with a sharp knife and glue them with thin cement for plastic. Finish the cockpit, the landing gear and the dust filter with the assembly order in mind. Apply a primer before painting, use a gloss coat for the decals and unify the surface with a matte one at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
