A masking set for the model of the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M3 model 22 Reisen carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. The extent of the masked areas is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mitsubishi A6M, known in Japan as the Reisen, was a carrier fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy. It excelled in ceiling, agility and exceptional range, paid for by a light structure without armor. The model 22 returned the A6M3 to the long wing with folding tips that the preceding model 32 had shortened, while keeping the more powerful engine. The result was a machine with its range restored, popular with units in the South Pacific.
This is a masking set for the model of this aircraft in 1:48 scale. Which areas the set covers and which kit the cut is calculated for is given in the manufacturer's instructions; the name does not specify it, so check before you buy.
The surface has to be dry, clean and degreased, or the mask will not adhere all the way round and paint will run underneath. Lay the mask on with tweezers and press it down along the whole edge; on curves work it on gradually so that it does not crease. Spray the paint in thin coats, as a heavy coat tears as the mask is lifted and leaves a step at the edge. Lift the masks soon after the paint has dried and pull them at a low angle.
The kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
