Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese carrier reconnaissance aircraft Nakajima C6N1 Saiun, designated Myrt by the Allies, in 1:48 scale from Hasegawa. The model captures the elegant single-engined machine with its long fuselage and glazed canopy for a crew of three. The package contains finely engraved plastic parts and decals for two schemes. It is a typically well-made aircraft kit from this Japanese manufacturer.
The Nakajima C6N Saiun was one of the best carrier reconnaissance aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Navy. It was designed for fast reconnaissance and, thanks to its high speed, could escape even enemy fighters. It entered service in the late phase of the Second World War, by which time Japan lacked the aircraft carriers from which to use it fully.
Glue the plastic parts with liquid cement and sand the seams carefully. Finish the cockpit and the interior before closing up the fuselage and glue the glazing carefully so that it does not fog. Japanese naval camouflage stands out once a gloss coat has been applied under the decals; bring out the panel lines with a fine wash and suggest wear and chipped paint with restraint.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
