The fabric cockpit belts HGW 1:48 P-47D Thunderbolt replace plastic or decal belts with faithful fabric parts made of microfiber and fitted with photo-etched hardware.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail set of cockpit seat belts, not an airplane model. It replaces flat plastic or decal belts with parts made of real microfiber fabric and completed with photo-etched buckles. It is intended for models of the American P-47D Thunderbolt fighter in 1:48 scale.
The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was one of the largest and heaviest single-engine fighters of the Second World War. It was powered by a strong radial engine with a turbocharger and carried eight 12.7 mm machine guns. It proved itself as an escort fighter and as a rugged ground-attack aircraft. The D version with the bubble canopy was the most widespread. In its cockpit the seat belts were a prominent detail.
Choose the shade of belt, cut the parts out along the marked line with a sharp knife and then trim them to the length you need. Work the fabric briefly between your fingers so that it takes on natural folds, and thread it through the photo-etched buckles. Glue with PVA glue (white glue) – do not use cyanoacrylate or any other aggressive adhesive that could damage the fabric or the plastic.
This is not a complete model. The set does not contain glue, paints or a kit; it serves as an accessory to the base model.
