A resin detail set from the Brassin line of the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of an airplane in its own right but a replacement of the cockpit, which you will seat in the plastic kit of the American P-51D Mustang fighter. The resin castings bring a worked-out instrument panel, side panels, a seat and the stick controls with a high level of detail that injection-molded plastic usually does not reach.
The North American P-51D Mustang is an American single-seat fighter aircraft of the Second World War, famous for its long range with auxiliary fuel tanks and for the bubble canopy, which gave the pilot an excellent view. It escorted formations of bombers deep over enemy territory. The cockpit is well visible on a model with the canopy slid back, which is why the detail pays off.
Wash the resin parts clean of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). We recommend finishing and painting the cockpit before closing the fuselage up. Check that the shape matches the particular plastic kit before fitting, and adjust the contact surfaces if needed.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
