A photo-etched detail set for the Sd.Kfz. 234/2 Puma armored car in 1:48 scale from the Polish maker Aber. It is not a model but a set of photo-etched metal parts for refining a build.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of photo-etched metal parts meant for fitting out a plastic model of the German Sd.Kfz. 234/2 Puma heavy armored car in 1:48 scale. It is neither a kit of the vehicle nor a finished model but an accessory: thin brass parts replace coarser plastic fittings and add detail that cannot be cast in injection-molded plastic at a convincing thickness. It is made by the Polish company Aber, a long-standing name in the field of photo-etch.
The Sd.Kfz. 234/2 Puma was a German eight-wheeled reconnaissance armored car of the Second World War. It carried a 5 cm KwK 39/1 gun in a rotating turret and stood out for its mobility and range, which is why it served for long-range reconnaissance. The photo-etched parts make it possible to render the fenders, mesh, brackets and other small fittings of the superstructure more faithfully.
Nip the parts carefully from the fret and form the bends along the scored lines with a bending tool or a steel ruler. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue or two-part epoxy, and it is a good idea to spray the metal surface with a base coat before painting. Tweezers and a calm pace pay off in the work.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The model of the vehicle itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
