The PZL.43 was a Polish single-engine light bomber and reconnaissance aircraft from the second half of the 1930s. It was a high-wing machine with fixed landing gear and wheels in fixed spats, with its crew in glazed positions above and behind one another. The design matched the idea of the day of a machine that could manage reconnaissance, the correction of artillery fire and attacks on ground targets with small bombs, and still make do with a field airfield. A tub under the fuselage for the observer was a characteristic feature.
A kit in 1:48 scale to be assembled and painted. The extent of the parts, the surface detail and the choice of marking options are given in the manufacturer's instructions. In aircraft, 1:48 is the most widespread scale after 1:72, so accessories, masks and figures in the same scale are easy to find for the model.
Clean the excess material and the marks from production off the parts, sand the mating surfaces and try the whole thing dry before applying any glue. Finish and paint the cockpit before you close the fuselage. On an aircraft with fixed landing gear it pays to leave the gear legs until the end of the build so that they do not break during handling, and to check before gluing that the model stands straight. Mask the clear parts and attach them with a glue that does not attack the plastic. Wash and degrease the surface before painting; apply the masking tapes before spraying and remove them as soon as the paint has become tacky.
The set will please modelers interested in less usual aircraft of the end of the 1930s and in Polish aviation. Paints, thinner, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
