1:48 Russian PAG-Type Taxiway BLAST EDITION

Russian PAG-type taxiway, BLAST edition (1:48, USCHI van der Rosten)

A printed diorama and display base, not an aircraft kit. It imitates a Russian airfield surface laid from PAG-type concrete slabs, used on Soviet and Russian field airfields. The BLAST edition designation means that the package holds enough concrete slabs to put up a blast wall behind the model or at its side. A set of period airfield markings is included as well. The base serves to display an aircraft model in 1:48 scale to good effect. The maker is the German brand USCHI van der Rosten, a specialist in printed airfield surfaces and deck bases.

Use

• Back the base on a firm, flat board, so that it keeps its shape and does not curl.
• Place the model so that the grid of PAG slabs comes across naturally in scale.
• Put the blast edition elements together into a blast wall to suit the composition of the scene.
• Lay the airfield markings out following the typical arrangement of an operating surface.
• Fine pigments will tune the realism: dust, oil stains and taxiing marks.

Who it is for

For modelers of aircraft in 1:48 who want to display a finished model on a faithful airfield surface with a Soviet or Russian character.

This is a display and diorama base, not an aircraft model. The model, the paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
