A decal sheet in 1:48 scale from AZ model. It is not a kit but a set of waterslide decals for finishing a plastic model of the Swedish Saab J29F fighter, nicknamed the Tunnan. The sheet offers several configurations of the machine in Austrian service, so you can complete a model with authentic national insignia and tactical numbers. The kit itself has to be obtained separately.
The Saab J29 Tunnan was a Swedish jet fighter of the first postwar generation with a characteristic barrel-shaped fuselage, after which it got its nickname. The J29F version was a later configuration with increased performance. Besides the Swedish Air Force, Tunnans also served in Austria, where they were among the first jet machines of the postwar Austrian Air Force.
Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss clear coat so that no silvering appears. Cut the motif out, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and slide it off the backing into place. A decal softener helps it settle, pulling the decal down onto the surface and into the engraved lines. Once dry, cover it with clear coat to the degree of gloss you want.
It is a standalone decal sheet. The kit, paints and clear coat are not included in the package.
