A photo-etched brass set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale. It is not a model but a modeling accessory: parts for assembling the boarding ladder the crew climbed into the cockpit by. The ladder gives a model on a stand or in a diorama scene the telling detail of a parked machine.
The de Havilland Sea Vixen was a British twin-engine carrier fighter with a characteristic twin-boom layout and a crew of two. The FAW.2 version served with the Royal Navy as an all-round all-weather fighter and carried guided missiles.
Separate the photo-etched brass parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife, form the bends in a bending tool or with a ruler and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Clean the surfaces before gluing and roughen them lightly for better grip. Hook the ladder on so that it meets the side of the fuselage by the cockpit.
