One national insignia mask for the French fighter of the First World War. The smallest in extent of the sets of masks of this size.

The aircraft from the SPAD works was endowed with a water-cooled eight-cylinder engine and with it an unusual combination of speed and strength. It could not turn as tightly as its opponents, but it stood up to a steep descent and a fast exit from a fight, which made it a favorite machine of attacking aces. It was manufactured in large numbers, flew with French, Italian, Russian and British units and became one of the icons of the air fighting over the western front.
In the package there is a single insignia mask. Neighboring sets of the same size for biplanes of the same period have two of them, so the extent of this range follows the number of masks on the sheet, not the fame of the subject. Within the insignia range this is the set with the fewest masks in 1:48 scale; only sets with no insignia at all hold less. Anyone building a single model who does not want films he will not use gets exactly what he needs.
Stick the film onto a dried base coat and press it down especially where the covering passes over a rib. Apply the paint in short doses and let the surface flash off between them. After the mask is lifted off it is often useful to unify the whole airframe with a thin coat of matte varnish, so that the insignia does not look stuck on.
