Responsibility details are not available.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I is a British single-seat fighter with which the Royal Air Force entered the Second World War. Its recognition marks are the slender fuselage and the wing of elliptical plan. The early machines flew with a two-blade wooden propeller, the later ones were given a three-blade metal one; it is precisely between the individual production batches of the Mk.I that small details on the glazed cockpit cover and on the nose differ, so it is worth comparing the model with the particular aircraft you want to build.
A masking sheet in 1:48 scale. The items come cut to finished shapes in self-adhesive material from the factory, so you do without tracing frames and without cutting curves out of tape. The position of the individual masks is shown by the diagram in the package. The set is shaped for one particular kit - the part number is what decides, because there are several masking sets for the Spitfire Mk.I.
Wash the glazing first and let it dry, so that the mask holds. Stick it on before spraying, press the edges down with a toothpick and only then spray, in several light coats. On the Spitfire it is worth spraying the interior color of the cockpit first, so that the frames match from the inside. Pull the mask off as soon as the paint is dry to the touch; lift a corner with a sharp point and pull at an angle to the edge of the part.
For a modeler who is building the Spitfire Mk.I and wants crisp cockpit frames without laborious cutting of tape. The package contains masking sheets as listed by the manufacturer; paints, thinner and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
