A photo-etched detail set for the Steyr 1500 A truck in 1:48 scale from Aber. Metal parts that will refine a build of this light military vehicle.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched metal set in 1:48 scale from the Polish maker Aber intended for a model of the Steyr 1500 A light military car. It is not a kit of the vehicle but an accessory that replaces thick plastic parts with finer metal ones — typically mesh, brackets, hinges and other small body fittings.
The Steyr 1500 A was a light cargo and staff car from the Austrian maker Steyr-Daimler-Puch, built from 1941. Power came from an air-cooled V8 engine, and the vehicle was used in various bodies — from a flatbed through staff versions to an ambulance. It served on the Eastern Front and in North Africa, where cooling without a water circuit proved its worth.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard mat or with photo-etch scissors, and make the bends in a bending tool or along a steel ruler. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue and degrease the surfaces beforehand. Lay down a base coat suitable for metal before painting, otherwise the paint holds badly on the etched parts.
This is a detail set, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
