The two-seat machines of the Su-27 line have their cockpits arranged in tandem and a tall spine, so a boarding ladder is among the most conspicuous features of the ground handling around them. A model with the canopies swung open and a ladder wheeled up stops looking like an isolated object in a display case at once and gains both scale and a story. Beside the ladder a natural place arises for a figure of a technician or for a set-down piece of equipment.
The key operation is separating the parts from the casting block. Never break them out by hand: resin breaks unpredictably and will take a piece of the ladder with it. Use a fine-toothed saw or a sharp knife and lead the cut a little above the part, then level the remainder of the block with a file or with sandpaper laid flat on a board. Sand wet and with respiratory protection, because resin dust is very fine and irritating.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. It is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory for it. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
