The Su-30 is a two-seat multirole aircraft derived from the two-seat version of the Su-27 line, with the cockpits arranged in tandem. It is precisely the two cockpits one behind the other that make the boarding ladder a prominent element of a scene: it reaches high and leads to both stations. A model complemented by a ladder stops looking like an isolated object and gains a connection with the airfield surroundings.
Before you reach for the glue, make a dry run. Stand the ladder next to the model dry and check two things: whether the upper rest bears on the edge of the cockpit without being levered, and whether the lower support stands on the surface over its whole face and not just on one corner. Resin castings sometimes warp slightly in storage; a slight bend can be straightened by dipping the part in hot water, leveling it by hand and chilling it quickly under cold water. Only when everything fits dry should you proceed to gluing.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. It is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory for it. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
