Su-9 Fishpot masks - Advanced level (1:48) - die-cut self-adhesive New Ware painting masks for the glazing, the wheels and the details of the Soviet interceptor.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of die-cut self-adhesive masks from New Ware in the Advanced version for the model of the Soviet Su-9 interceptor. It is not a kit - these are precisely shaped masks cut from thin masking tape. The Advanced level covers the outside and the inside of the canopy glazing including masks for the sealing frames, and adds masks for the wheels, so that it makes a clean paint job on several parts of the model easier at once.
The Su-9 (NATO reporting name Fishpot) is a Soviet single-seat supersonic interceptor with a delta wing from the end of the 1950s, designed to intercept high-flying targets. The combination of a glazed canopy and rubber tires makes masking a lengthy job, and this set shortens it considerably.
Lay the glazing masks onto clean transparent parts, press them down and spray the frames. Stick the disc-shaped wheel masks onto the tire and spray the hub; a sharp division between the hub and the rubber is created without hand-cut tape. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully. For the best adhesion, degrease and dust off the surface before sticking the masks down and press them with a soft tool so that the paint cannot seep under the edge.
This is a masking set. The model and the paints are not included in the package.
