The Su-27 is a heavy Soviet fighter, carried in the West under the name Flanker. It came about as a counterweight to the American fourth-generation machines, and its later versions serve to this day. On a model the cockpit of this aircraft is clearly visible, especially when the canopy is stopped open, and the most conspicuous element in it is precisely the ejection seat. Seats from injection-molded kits tend to be simplified and lack the fine shaping that is visible at first glance at this scale.
The set brings an ejection seat for the cockpit of the Su-27 in 1:48 scale. Check this in the manufacturer's instructions. The seat is fitted in place of the part from the kit, so the bed in the cockpit floor or the side walls usually have to be adjusted, so that the part seats without tension.
The parts are not polystyrene and cement for plastic will not join them; use cyanoacrylate glue. Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest, so as not to shorten the shape of the cushion. Wash and degrease the part before painting. Paint and finish the seat separately while it is accessible from every side, and set it into the fuselage only at the end. Dry-brushing and a dark wash will bring out the edges and the stitching.
The kit of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
