Reskit 1:48 SUU-7 dispenser type 1 — 4 pieces is a resin set of external dispensers in 1:48 scale. An accessory for an aircraft model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Four SUU-7 external dispensers in the form designated as type 1. With this item Reskit distinguishes two types and keeps them as separate products with their own part numbers, so the choice of type is not arbitrary. The set belongs among the resin accessories, it is intended to be fitted to a finished model and on its own it makes up no model.
The SUU-7 is an American dispenser for scattered munitions, characterized by a cylindrical body with a regular grid of release tubes at the rear. It is precisely that grid that matters from a modeling point of view: in plastic kits it tends to be only suggested, whereas a resin casting can hold markedly finer detail. The dispensers were carried several at a time, so a four-piece package matches real practice.
Never scrub the rear grid with a brush while cleaning the parts — simply wash the dispensers in lukewarm water with detergent and let them dry. The casting blocks tend to be on the body; cut them off with a saw and sand the surface down. Spray the primer in a thin layer, as a heavy layer would flood the fine detail of the tubes. Once the base shade is painted, try a targeted dark wash on the grid — with this kind of detail it works excellently, because the recesses are regular and the wash separates them clearly. Glue them to the model with cyanoacrylate glue at the end.
This is an accessory set, not a model of an aircraft. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
