Die-cut painting masks for the Tornado F.3 ADV in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. An accessory for precise masking while painting, not a model of an aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely die-cut painting masks for a model of the Tornado F.3 ADV interceptor in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard of Obrnice near Most. The masks serve for quick, clean masking of the canopy glazing, the wheels and other areas while painting. It is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a standalone model.
The Tornado F.3 ADV (Air Defence Variant) was the interceptor fighter version of the European Tornado combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing. It served above all with the Royal Air Force as a long-range interceptor for air defense and escort duties. It differed from the strike versions of the Tornado in its lengthened fuselage and its armament for air combat.
The individual masks are transferred to the glazing with tweezers and follow the shape of the canopy frames exactly. Once they are in place the area is sprayed with paint, and the masks are lifted off after it dries, giving a sharp edge without any hand-lining. Round masks for the wheels are usually included as well.
This is a set of masks, not a complete model. The kit and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
