This universal photo-etched set is used to create the realistic perforated rims and inside edges that modelers come across on wheel discs, flanges and other details. It is not a model but a universal detailing accessory. The set offers rims with graded hole spacing, so it suits a wide range of builds. The manufacturer is the Czech company AML.
The etched strips with regularly spaced holes are laid onto the edge of a part and create the effect of fine perforation, which molded plastic cannot reproduce faithfully. The different hole spacings let you pick the version that fits the scale and diameter of the part.
Separate the strips with a sharp knife, curve them to suit the shape of the part and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Work with tweezers and wipe away any excess glue so that the holes stay clean.
This is a universal accessory, not a model. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
