Aerobonus 1:48 US Army Helicopter Gunner - Vietnam War 1960-1975 is a resin figure of an American helicopter door gunner from the Vietnam War period.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a stand-alone resin figure of a door gunner of US Army aviation from the Vietnam War period of 1960 to 1975 in 1:48 scale. It is neither a helicopter model nor a complete scene but a supplementary figure intended to bring an aircraft, a helicopter or an airfield diorama to life. Resin allows fine definition of the uniform and the equipment, and the figure suits more experienced modelers.
Door gunners manned the machine guns in the open doors of helicopters and were among the typical crews of the Vietnam era. They wore a field flight suit, a protective helmet and a life vest. The figure captures the period look and a stance matching service at a door-mounted weapon.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); protect your airways while sanding. Build the base up with a quality primer. Paint the uniform in muted shades, bring out the recesses with a wash and pick out the folds with oils.
This is a stand-alone figure, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and a base are not included in the package.
