A resin figure to be painted, not a model. This resin casting from the Czech brand Aerobonus (Aires) in 1:48 scale captures a helicopter pilot of the US Army from the period of the Vietnam War (1960-1975). It serves to bring a helicopter model or an aviation diorama to life and is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
During the Vietnam War US Army pilots flew above all helicopters, which became a symbol of that conflict, from observation and attack machines to transport types. Their gear was characteristic: flight overalls, a protective helmet with a visor and a life vest. These are precisely the elements the figure captures, and they let you seat a crew in the cabin or place it beside the machine.
First wash the remains of the mold release agent off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply primer before painting; an airbrush proves its worth for the overalls and brush work for the face, the helmet and the gear. A wash and fine shading with oil paints will give the figure depth.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin casting. Glue, paints and a model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
