A plastic kit in 1:48 scale with the Soviet long-range fighter Yak-9DD and the BZ-38 airfield fuel tanker in one box.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Yak-9 was one of the most numerous Soviet fighters of the Second World War. It was a single-engine low-wing monoplane with a liquid-cooled Klimov V12 engine, valued for its good handling at low and medium altitudes. The version designated DD is the long-range one: it carries a considerably larger fuel load and was intended for flights over great distances, above all for escort work and for transits over territory an ordinary fighter could not reach.
According to the name the box holds, besides the aircraft, the BZ-38, a Soviet airfield fuel tanker on a truck chassis that was used to fill aircraft with fuel. The pair of models naturally invites a shared scene on a field airfield, with the truck standing at the wing of the machine. The exact range of parts, the marking options and what precisely is in the box are given in the manufacturer's instructions and on the box.
Assemble and paint the cockpit of the aircraft before you glue the fuselage together; once it is closed you cannot get inside. Mask the canopy glazing before spraying, not after. The tanker has small chassis parts that break off easily, so fit them at the very end of the build. Apply the color in thin coats and polish the surface under the decals to a gloss so that a matte grain does not show through them.
Paints, glue, filler and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
