Flyhawk 1:700 metal gun barrels 10.5cm/65 C/33 will replace the plastic barrels of the heavy anti-aircraft battery of the battleship Bismarck.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory for ship modelers in 1:700 scale from Flyhawk. The set holds turned metal gun barrels of 10.5 cm caliber for the heavy anti-aircraft battery and is cut for the Bismarck kit as she was in 1941 from the same maker. The metal barrels have the correct profile and do not need the mold seam cleaning up that plastic parts do, on which sanding easily wipes the shape of the muzzle away as well. The kit is not included in the package.
The 10.5 cm SK C/33 gun was the standard heavy anti-aircraft weapon of the large ships of the Kriegsmarine. On Bismarck it made up sixteen barrels in eight twin mountings placed along the sides of the superstructure. The weapon had a high muzzle velocity and was meant for defense against bombers and torpedo aircraft. It was a torpedo aircraft, however, that hit the stern of the ship in May 1941 and damaged her rudders, which decided her fate.
The set is meant for modelers who build a ship model with an emphasis on detail. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
