American universal naval guns 1:700 (RB model) are turned metal barrels replacing the plastic parts of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of turned metal barrels in 1:700 scale from RB model. It is not a ship kit but a detail accessory. It represents the American universal (dual-purpose) naval gun for engaging surface and air targets alike. In the small 1:700 scale, metal markedly improves the look of thin barrels.
The American universal gun of 127 mm (5 inches) caliber and 38 calibers in length was the most widespread dual-purpose gun of the US Navy in the Second World War. It served as the main armament of destroyers and as the secondary and anti-aircraft battery on cruisers, battleships and aircraft carriers. It stood out for its reliability and high rate of fire.
Clean the small barrels up carefully and glue them into the mounts with super glue. Degrease before painting and apply a base for metal, then the shade of the armament. In 1:700 scale, metal holds its shape better than very thin plastic.
The package holds only the turned barrels, not the whole model. Glue and paints are not included.
