A sheet of decals in 1:72 scale for Soviet T-34-85 tanks from the output of Factory No. 183, the third part of the series.
Responsibility details are not available.
The T-34-85 is the late form of the most widespread Soviet medium tank of the Second World War. Against the earlier standards it received a larger three-man turret and an 85 mm gun, so the commander no longer served the weapon and could devote himself fully to directing the fight. Factory No. 183 was the largest maker of these tanks and the machines from its production carry a number of recognizable manufacturing features by which they can be told apart from the output of the other factories. That is exactly why it makes sense to deal with markings for a particular production batch separately.
The decals in 1:72 scale are focused on T-34-85 tanks from the output of Factory No. 183 and form the third part of this series. The particular extent of the markings and how they are allotted to the individual vehicles are given in the instructions enclosed with the sheet.
These are waterslide decals. First level the area beneath them with gloss paint or varnish, otherwise air will be left under the edge and the decal will go white. Trim the element as closely as possible, immerse it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until it can be slid on the backing. Transfer it to the model with a brush, seat it in position and blot the surplus water away. On edges and rivets a decal softener helps, as it pulls the decal down to the surface. Once it has dried, give the whole model a coat of matte varnish so that the gloss base disappears.
For modelers who build the T-34-85 in 1:72 scale and want markings matching a particular production run instead of a general sheet from a kit. The kit, paints and varnishes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
