HGW 4 Colour Lozenge Lower - Transparent 1:72 is a sheet of decals with the four-color German factory camouflage pattern (lozenge) for the lower surfaces of First World War models in 1:72 scale.

This set of decals reproduces the four-color lozenge camouflage printing used on the fabric of German First World War aircraft. This sheet is meant for the lower surfaces of the wings and fuselage and holds the lighter range of colors that was used on the undersides of the machines. The surface has a fine texture resembling fabric and the colors are slightly faded, so that the result does not look flat.
The decals are transparent, so they are applied onto a light painted base. By choosing the shade of the base you can set the individual panels slightly apart and reach a natural irregularity.
Smooth the base and coat it with gloss varnish. Cut the shape of the panel from the sheet with an overlap of about 2 mm, settle the decal and press it down with a setting and softening solution. Once dry, trim the excess with a sharp knife and seal the surface with varnish. The upper surfaces are covered by a separate sheet with a darker range.
This is a modeling accessory (decals), not a kit. Paints, varnish and models are not included in the package.
