National insignia masks 1:72 for the early Mitsubishi A5M2b Claude from Dead Design: you spray the Japanese national insignia instead of applying decals, with no silvering and with a surface uniform with the rest of the camouflage.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive masks in 1:72 scale for spraying the Japanese national insignia onto the early version of the Mitsubishi A5M2b Claude carrier fighter. Instead of decals you simply spray the insignia; the round masks ensure the exact shape and the right placement on the wings and the fuselage.
A sprayed insignia has the same sheen and texture as the surrounding paint, and there is no risk of silvering of the base or of a visible edge to the decal's carrier film. It also sits perfectly on busy surfaces, where a decal adheres badly. The procedure is simple: the mask is laid on the finished base, the edges are pressed down, the insignia color is sprayed and once dry the mask is taken off. The result looks like that on a real aircraft, where the markings were likewise sprayed through stencils.
The Mitsubishi A5M, Allied code designation Claude, was the first monoplane carrier fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy and the predecessor of the A6M Zero type. The early machines of the A5M2b version were marked out by an enclosed cabin canopy and fixed landing gear in aerodynamic fairings.
A modeling accessory: neither the aircraft kit nor paints are included in the package.
