Mitsubishi A6M2/3 Zero 1:72 from Tamiya — a precise injection-molded plastic kit of the famous Japanese carrier fighter of the Second World War with a detailed cockpit and excellent fit.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M Zero carrier fighter in 1:72 scale from Tamiya. The Zero is one of those typical subjects that Tamiya has rendered with high accuracy, a finely engraved surface and an excellent fit of the parts. The model contains a detailed cockpit, landing gear, clear cockpit glazing and good decals for the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service. Thanks to the quality of the mold it is a rewarding build for less experienced modelers as well.
The A6M Zero was the main Japanese carrier fighter of the Second World War and one of the best known aircraft of the whole conflict. It stood out for exceptional agility and great range, which it achieved by radically lightening the structure at the expense of armor and toughness. In the first years of the war in the Pacific it was a feared opponent and it kept the upper hand for a long time, until Allied machines overtook it in performance. The A6M2 and A6M3 versions were among the early and middle forms.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with thin liquid cement for plastic. Finish the detailed cockpit and bring it out with a wash before you close up the fuselage. Mask the glazing for sharp frames. Spray the characteristic light gray-green or dark green Japanese camouflage with an airbrush over a primer base in thin coats and bring it to life with a fine panel wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
