1:72 Aichi E16A Zuiun - masks for the national insignia from Dead Design for a clean spray finish on the Japanese insignia of a model of this floatplane reconnaissance aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of die-cut masking templates from the maker Dead Design, intended for spraying the Japanese national insignia onto a model of the floatplane Aichi E16A Zuiun in 1:72 scale. Spraying through a mask replaces decals: the insignia sits even across unevenness and panel lines, it has a surface identical with the camouflage finish and it survives washes, filters and a final matte varnish without any trouble.
The Aichi E16A Zuiun, Allied code designation Paul, was a twin-float reconnaissance aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Its ability to dive-bomb was unusual - it had its airbrakes placed on the struts of the floats. It entered service in 1944 and operated both from the water and from the decks of converted ships; it was deployed among other places in the fighting for the Philippines and in the defense of the home islands.
The set will please builders of Japanese seaplanes and the less usual types, who want markings of a quality matching the rest of a carefully built model - with no risk of a decal silvering on a textured surface.
These are painting masks, that is an accessory to a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
