Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary German Albatros D.Va fighter biplane of the First World War in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Smer. The kit suits a classic biplane build including the interplane struts and the bracing wires that give a finished model its characteristic look.
The Albatros D.Va was one of the most widespread German fighters of the end of the First World War. It was a single-seat biplane with a semi-monocoque wooden fuselage of oval cross section and a water-cooled Mercedes inline engine. It was notable for its elegant silhouette and a good view for the pilot; it served with a number of fighter squadrons (Jasta) on the Western Front.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and set the interplane struts carefully so that the wings sit parallel. Imitate the bracing wires with fine thread or stretched sprue only after painting. The wooden surfaces of the fuselage come out nicely with glazes, and the fabric covering can be brought out with a fine wash along the ribs. Painting with an airbrush and with a brush are both rewarding on this type.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
