An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from ACE. The model captures the French AML light armored car in the version with a turret carrying a 60 mm mortar. Besides the plastic parts the set holds a photo-etched fret and rubber tires, which gives it rich detail. This is a short-run kit, which a more experienced builder will appreciate rather than a novice.
The AML is a French light reconnaissance armored car with 4x4 drive, which appeared at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s and spread to a number of countries. The mortar version added fire support alongside the gun-armed forms. Thanks to its low weight and good mobility the vehicle proved itself in many armies and peacekeeping missions.
Finish the interior and lower parts and the running gear before closing the hull up. Glue the photo-etched parts with super glue and fit the rubber tires only once they are painted. Apply the base shade with an airbrush over a primer; convincing weathering is created with a wash into the recesses and with dust or mud pigments on the running gear. Apply the decals onto gloss varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The photo-etched parts and the tires are part of the set; glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package.
