Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the prototype of the Soviet Beriev Be-12 amphibious flying boat in 1:72 scale. The kit captures the early prototype form of the machine, which differed in the placement of the engines. The package holds plastic parts, a clear glazing part and further detail elements; it is a larger model with a high number of parts. Thanks to the great span, the assembled model is imposing.
The Beriev Be-12 was a Soviet amphibious flying boat with a high-set cranked gull wing, powered by turboprop engines. It served above all for maritime patrol and anti-submarine work. On the prototype the powerplant arrangement was still different from the production form, which makes it an interesting variant for collectors.
Given the size and the number of parts, try them dry and plan the build in sections. Finish the interior and the glazing before closing the fuselage, bond with thin cement for plastic and sand the joins. Paint the hull and the floats with an airbrush and add weathering to the underside; mask the fine parts and the glazing frames.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
