An injection-molded plastic kit of an armored personnel carrier in 1:72 scale from the Belarusian maker PST. The model captures the Soviet BTR-50PK tracked amphibious carrier with its enclosed armored roof. The exact contents of the box and the marking options follow the instructions in it.
The BTR-50 was a Soviet tracked amphibious armored personnel carrier based on the chassis of the PT-76 light tank. The BTR-50PK version received an armored roof over the troop compartment, so the crew and the troops were protected from above; entry and exit were through hatches in the roof. The vehicle could move across water thanks to its amphibious design and served in many armies throughout the decades of the Cold War.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. First finish the running gear and the underside of the hull, and only then close the hull and the roof. Apply a primer before painting, ideally with an airbrush. The carrier shows to advantage in a single-color military finish; support the patina with washes into the recesses and dust pigments on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
